Sleep Learning

Will my infant or child cry? Is there a "no-cry" method that will work?

When infants and children learn new skills, they often display feelings of frustrations.  Infant's cry when they're frustrated.  Toddlers and children will sometimes throw tantrums when frustrated.  My goal is to share ways that can help minimize crying and tantrums.  Every infant and child is different, in that some will cry/tantrum more than others.  Learning how to put themselves to sleep, won't be the first new skill that brings your infant/child frustration.  I will support you through the frustration that your child may be feeling and we will tweak our sleep learning plan, if needed, as we go.  That's where the daily support I offer, really helps parents follow through with their desire to sleep at night again.

I will work with you to create an individualized, step-by-step sleep plan that will factor in your parenting style, your child’s age, health, temperament, and  related family dynamics. Most importantly I will support and coach you through the process from beginning to end for night sleep and naps!

You can continue to room share while sleep coaching.

I work with parents of children ages 0 up to 6 years old.

For babies under 6 months I will consult with parents on how to set up healthy sleep habits from the start and if appropriate how to gently shape their sleep.  Depending on your infant, we may be able to start sleep training earlier.
